My birthday we had just bought our first home and it was a HUD fix up, we were so money strapped that my husband made peanut butter and jelly cut in heart shapes for my birthday dinner and since he can't bake, he went to the store and bought one slice of chocolate cake (my favorite) to light a match on to sing happy birthday. With our toddler son thinking it was the best night too. N.S.
My husband and I were at a professional baseball game. He mentioned, "I'd give my left arm to be a professional baseball player". I said, "if you were a professional baseball player, we wouldn't have met". He replied, "But …I would have gone into the stands and found you". S.T.
A single rose sat in a vase one day. 12 days later there were a dozen roses then they were gone. My fiancé took me to our first date spot, the petals laid in a basket with two glasses, a bottle of wine and a ring. My soul mate proposed. A.S
For our TEN year anniversary we went to the Melting Pot. As I selected the cheese cake to dip in the chocolate, my fork stopped abruptly at the surface. I picked up the cream colored box and discovered a diamond ring inside! He placed the ring on my finger and said. "The ten diamonds on the sides represent TEN wonderful years of marriage; the two clusters of diamonds represent our TWO amazing children. And the center diamond, represents your BIG STUD! L.W.
A couple of years ago my husband came home and said pack your bags Im taking you on a surprise vacation and we leave tonight. We flew out to Los Angles and stayed in Laguna Beach, we drove the coast, we took a boat over to Catalina Island and rented a golf cart and drove around the island all day. We stopped at various places along the ocean and just sat and enjoyed the view. It was wonderful!! L.L.
I got up Valentine's morning, my husband had my coffee and small breakfast prepared - a note telling me to go back upstairs and look out the bedroom window. The tree outside was covered with beautiful hanging paper hearts! Each heart had a wonderful affirmation note. An unforgettable surprise! A.B.
Imagine finding a path of rose petals illuminated only by candle light. As I followed the winding petals through the house I ended in a candle filled room with a man dressed to impress. As he spoke to me with tears filling his eyes he knelt on one knee. E.B

My Fiance tricked me to believe we were going to dinner with his Grandma; and he would pick me up from work. It was our 3-1/2 yr. anniversary and he drove me to work(so I wouldn't have my car); sent flowers to me; then @ about 3:50 there was a limo waiting for me! I felt like pretty woman, only I was happy! IT took me to our home where he was waiting with wine and from there we started off for a romantic dinner and he proposed to D.
My special man invited me to attend a Moody Blues/Colorado Symphony Orchestra concert at Redrocks Amphitheater. It was a warm, full moon magical night heightened by the superb music. The flames of romance were fanned, and after 17 years we are still together savoring the memories of a perfect evening.

The most romantic thing my husband has done was surprise me by having a small ceremony to renew our vows for our 25th anniversary. It was sweet to have our daughter, Erica, officiate standing next to a picture of her older sister so she could be a part of the ceremony too. Erica's boyfriend was the videographer, and 2 of our friends were witnesses. He arranged to have my ring repaired, prepared the vows, had our favorite song playing and did everything to make the night special and intimate. S.C.
Atop the Eiffel Tower at sunset; despite the long line, we were alone on the West corner! Looking out, I said, “this is perfect.” He said, “you know what would make it even more perfect? If you said you would marry me!” Wind and time stopped. L’amour! D.S.
In ‘91 I met my love. Although injured as a police officer, he was a gift from above. Brain surgeries, rehab was the name of his game. Speech was slow but our friendship did grow. Then one day we both knew….he was strong where I was weak, and I was strong where he was weak, and together we were meant to be. In ‘94 we said “I do”, and amid tears and laughter my most romantic moment grew and grew and grew. S.H.
